materials to study protective behaviours at home..

Hello everyone,
I'm unsure if I am in the right place, but I've been searching the internet to find out if the average person might be able to find the materials to study protective behaviours with their children for home use?

My daughter has had some issues of bullying within the school setting over the past 6 months or so, which is actually pretty much resolved at this moment in time, but we have asked the school how we can help our daughter become more assertive, and therefore minimise the risk of bullying happening again, we were reccommended protective behaviours course, which really sounds like it could do her the world of good, but what I'm wondering is if I might be able to get the materials to do a home lead study on this subject, as I do worry that with referrals being made and waiting times, we could be waiting quite some time before my daughter gets any of these sessions and things may slide back to being quite unhappy at school.

If it's not possible to get hold of these materials, could anyone possibly reccommend some tips on where to start Helping her?
Sadly as a family we are quite the opposite of assertive and it seems to be a learnt behaviour with our daughter.
It would also be great to understand how helpful protective behaviours can be in helping children to prevent further bullying within a school setting?
Any help would be really appreciated. I feel a little lost by this all, and want to be ablevtp understand and in turn explain to my daughter how this could help in the long run.

Thank you so much for making contact via our forum - and like Maureen I agree it could be helpful to know where you are based in terms of identifying current potential local authority PB provision/resources. I'd also feel happy to talk with you if you'd feel comfortable emailing me with a contact number. For me, PBs is for all people and can be found in everyday resources - I also think you choosing to 'risk on purpose' and make a post demonstrates empowerment/assertiveness.

Thank you so much for your reply Sally Ann, my partner and I can both be assertive when it comes to an important issue, so the skill is there, but there haven't been too many situations we can recollect where our daughter has had to see this, so we believe that this could be why she hasn't picked up this skill.
We feel pretty bad its something she lacks that she should have picked up from us.

Also, we are in the north herts area, Stevenage to be more precise.
